We arrived an hour earlier than check in. We were told we would have to wait as our room wasn't ready. We said that was fine but we would not be back until late as we were going to an event. We used the toilet, then when we came out they called us over and told us they had found us a room and they had upgraded us to a larger one. Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. Said who was being trained and the lady with him. Room was well equipped, on a high floor and had very efficient air conditioning. Location was brilliant for the cricket, Castle and city centre.

The service was exceptional, super friendly, especially in the restaurant. The kids and I had a great meal and we collapsed happily into our comfortable beds. We're sensitive sleepers and had no problems with noise at all. Fun breakfast, although not a huge selection of gluten and dairy-free options. The possibility to have free parking, in such a central location, was an unexpected and AMAZING bonus. It's an absolutely great location for exploring the castle and beautiful Cardiff.

Breakfast had a lot of choice. Airconditioning worked very well and made our room comfortable particularly overnight as were able to shut all windows to keep out noise from the city centre. Reception staff were polite and helpful. Room cleaning staff, one in particular (sorry I didn't get her name) were exceptional and I cannot rate these staff highly enough; nothing was too much trouble and our room was clean. We liked the soap and shampoo provided

Good value for money! It was the most reasonably priced hotel for our dates of stay. This hotel has met our expectations in terms of the overall quality and location. As a nice bonus, we were given complimentary parking (for joining Hilton membership). Also, our son really enjoyed playing "Snakes and ladders" board game in the lobby :D

Breakfast was superb. The range of food catered for every taste and diet. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the Staff were friendly and efficient. Located on the bank of the river, Holiday Inn has views of Cardiff Castle Parkland in the front and Principality Stadium at the rear .....what’s not to love?
